Opacity depends on pigment density. Darker colors naturally hold more pigment and are more likely to be fully opaque, which is why shades like black, blue, green, purple, bordeaux red, and earth brown are commonly tournament-ready. Lighter colors allow more light through. Our goal is to make all sleeve colors 100% opaque by 2026.
Card sleeves are intentionally made slightly larger than the cards they protect. That extra space helps cards slide in smoothly and prevents bending, pinched corners, or pressure on edges during play and shuffling. TitanShield trading card sleeves are typically about 2 mm taller and wider than the listed card size to allow for card thickness and a comfortable fit. Some brands only publish compatible card sizes, but we list both card size and sleeve dimensions so you know exactly what you’re getting.
No. Pokémon card sleeves require standard TCG sizing. Pokémon cards measure about 63 × 88 mm (2.5 × 3.5 inches), which is larger than what Japanese size card sleeves are designed to hold. Using Japanese sleeves can cause tight fits and edge stress. Standard size sleeves are the correct option.
We’re not affiliated with individual games, but BoardGameGeek is one of the most reliable resources for finding correct sleeve sizes by game and edition. For a step-by-step walkthrough, you can also check our detailed guide that shows exactly how to look up the right size.
All TitanShield sleeves are made from premium, archival-grade polypropylene (PP). This non-PVC, acid-free material is widely used for MTG card sleeves, Pokémon sleeves, and other collectible protection because it’s safe for long-term storage and regular play.
